Artist Shawn Pugsley with his 15 years experience and a warm personality, brings a dynamic and artistic eye to his work. His works are inspired by the organic world and his daily inspirations from nature, plants , animal/marine life, bio-organic, and black n grey. He tattoos designs that are alive with light/shadow and color.
He is also a mixed media artist with works sold around the country, from murals to small designs. His desire for art is shown in the work that he does that is ever growing, and his commitment to the tattoo industry, and the preservation of the art and ethics that are involved.
Pugsley started his career in 1995 in Houston as a struggling artist trying to get into the industry. Then moving to Austin Tx in 1996 to start an informal apprenticeship with Capital City tattoos . In 1997 with more experience and a drive to learn more, moved to Primal State for two years, then moving on to Custom Tattoos from the Soul in 2000 for another five years on historic 6th st, gaining a solid foundation in tattooing. then in 2006 started his drive to be a custom artist at Golden Apple Studios. Since then, Pugsley has tattooed at Shaman Modifications building his custom base and skills in the field. Pugsley has toured as a guest artist, and is now an artist at Ancient Ink tattoos located at 1801 South 1st corner of South 1st and Annie
In addition to his technical skills and artistry Pugsley is also gifted with a warm personality and provides his clients with a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere throughout their tattoo experience.
